National Heritage Proclamation

Good news to all Victorians! Victoria Institution will be proclaimed as a National Heritage along with 38 others nationwide. All of you are invited to attend the proclamation ceremony as follows:

Date: 14 February, 2009 (Saturday)
Time: 9.30 a.m.
Place: Victoria Institution, Kuala Lumpur

This event will be attended by the Heritage Commissioner and the Minister of Heritage, Unity, Cultural and Arts, YB Dato’ Seri Haji Mohd Shafie Bin Haji Apdal, who is also an old VI boy (batch of 1976).

While the organizers could only allocate 200 Victorians to be seated in the school hall, around 500 Victorians are expected to watch the proceedings live on close circuit TV (CCTV) at the quadrangle. Therefore, this is the perfect time to organize batch gatherings and reunions on that day. Catering is available by request.
